Cultural Awareness and Ethics

As our world becomes increasingly global, people are more likely to work with those from other cultures. Poor cultural awareness can lead to bad feelings, damaged relationships, and unintended unethical practices. This workshop covers requirements for 4 CE ethics credits for most professional organizations.

Description: This is a didactic, interactive, and experiential workshop to bring understanding about how culture impacts our own and other’s life and perceptions. It explores effective ways to understand, handle and positively utilize cultural differences in an ethical and professional manner.

You will gain essential skills for avoiding costly cultural conflicts, and to foster respect and cultural awareness. Because ethics and ethical conduct are embedded in cultural believes, meanings, values and practices, the course will explore personal and group assumptions about what is ethical through the lens of culture.
